Cornelian cherry

The Cornelian cherry is a perennial tree or shrub native to a wide range of European countries, including Albania, Austria, and France, as well as parts of Western Asia. It is known for producing edible fruit, which is a distinctive feature of this plant. The Cornelian cherry is also recognizable by its ability to thrive in various soil types, from light and sandy to heavy clay, as long as the soil pH is between 5 and 7.5. This adaptability, combined with its relatively small to medium size, makes it a notable species within its family.
