Neutralises oxidative damage.

Plants rich in compounds that quench free radicals. Used for general health, aging, and prevention of oxidative-stress diseases. Diet provides far more than supplements.

Mechanism

Polyphenols, flavonoids, and vitamins donate electrons to reactive oxygen species, terminating radical chain reactions.
