Widens blood vessels, improving flow.

Plants that relax blood vessel walls, increasing peripheral circulation. Used in cold extremities, Raynaud's phenomenon, hypertension, and erectile dysfunction.

Mechanism

Nitric oxide release (garlic, hawthorn), direct smooth muscle relaxation, or alpha-adrenergic blockade.
