Cat's Claw

Cat's Claw (Uncaria tomentosa) is a woody vine native to the tropical and subtropical forests of Central and South America. Known scientifically as part of the Rubiaceae family, it thrives in moist environments with partial sun to full sun exposure. This plant is renowned for both its edible and medicinal properties; its sap and stems are commonly used. Native to countries such as Belize, Bolivia, Brazil North, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad-Tobago, and Venezuela, Cat's Claw has been traditionally utilized for immune support, particularly in managing chronic infections and autoimmune conditions. Its distinctive feature includes the ability to grow up to 25 meters, making it a notable presence in its native habitats.
