Manzanilla

Manzanilla, scientifically known as Crataegus pubescens stipulacea and belonging to the Rosaceae family, is a deciduous tree native to regions in Guatemala and various areas of Mexico including Central, Gulf, Northeast, Southeast, and Southwest parts. This plant is notable for its edible fruit and documented medicinal uses. Manzanilla thrives in light conditions ranging from full sun to partial shade and can tolerate both dry and moist environments. Its adaptability extends to a variety of soil types—light (sandy), medium, and heavy (clay)—and it is hardy in zones 6-9. Reaching heights of up to 9 meters, Manzanilla is distinguished by its light requirement and versatility in growing conditions.
